After launching her musical career in Hawaii as resident DJ at Out of The Box and making appearances at Petting Zoo, Earth Dance, and Garden Temple, DJ/ producer Bass Temple makes a home with us here in Denver, CO. She sets the tone for the New Year with her latest track, ‘Stay With Me’, releasing on all platforms today. Cinematic sound is the name of the game creating the futuristic feel in this new dreamy track. Enveloping listeners with a vast melody complimented by an overarching vocal lick, the track continues to build on itself from start to finish to create an engaging auditory experience for its listeners.

Bass Temple · Stay With Me [Headbang Society Premiere]

The track opens with a calm watery flow and cool feel. Starting with a slow steady build up cloaked by ethereal arrangements, the song migrates into tribal basslines and trap-like beats. Backed by soft sweet vocals, the overall essence of this track is one of femininity and softness. The exotic soundscapes she paints cloak over this piece of work like a soft haze with just the right amount of musical undertones to lay the foundation for us to co-experience a remarkable inward journey mirrored to us directly from her own inner workings. She does a wonderful job grounding and integrating her primal intergalactic sounds in a way that we are able to easily digest and experience through a carefully curated auditory kaleidoscope of sound and feeling. This well rounded track encompasses a steady ascension of build ups balanced by subtle attention catching drops through its entirety.

“I often start with one of the drop sections of a track but with “Stay With Me” I began with the verses. I think that really helped with creating the story and shaping the drops around that. Building drama and emotion in my music is something I really enjoy and I think I achieved that in this track.”

If you enjoy this track, you should give her a follow, check out the rest of her work, and add her to your list of artists to watch in 2023. Her music has a special way of captivating its listeners within her innovative sound, transporting them to her temple filled with cinematic world bass reverberations. Her music journeys from deep primordial bass into cosmic melodic loops, raising the energy into a high vibrational experience to be enjoyed by all. Featured on platforms such as EDM Identity and making appearances on Liquid Stranger’s coveted Spotify playlists, get used to seeing the name Bass Temple around.

From coast to coast, lifelong musician and producer, ST4RFOX, has been bringing his signature sounds of Neuro Jazz and Portal Hop to the masses while improvising on Saxophone and Trumpet during his memorable energetic sets. After spending the past year flexing some of the best sound systems at notable venues and festivals across America, he presents to us a timeless collection of soundscapes.

Some of his best music yet is being revealed with his newest self released album, ‘The Nexus’. This is a carefully crafted, beautiful piece of work that has been over two years in the making. Kevin is a true pioneer to his one of a kind sound and this mind bending album is a moving showcase of his creative abilities and gifts as a creator. With ear candy laced big beats curated through full spectrum multi-dimensional sound design, he ushers in a new dimension of live performance that is sure to be a legendary experience. He is one of The Gradient Perspective’s most dynamic and versatile artists and someone who’s music I highly recommend you take the time to connect with.

His full length album,‘ The Nexus’ releases Friday, December 16th. This colorful soulful piece of sound was first introduced to us through the high vibe groovy track, ‘Welcome To Existence’, premiered by Headbang Society. Anytime I hear ST4RFOX come on, I know it’s time to turn it all the way up. He really dove into this album with horns blazing. As you listen, allow yourself to to travel through the vortex of your mind as he once again transports us to a far away sonic galaxy through his fresh, funky, and unique sounds.

As the music fades to the second track, ‘Slurmzilla Tha Illa’, allow yourself to slip into a sludgy dreamscape. Imagine for a second that you exist in a moment of time where Dre tames a slurmed out slug beast. As he sludges his way through the streets of L.A. squanching everything in his path, the foundation shaking sounds of West coast Slime Punk follow him, flooding the streets like hot lava. This mutant of a monster has one mission and that is to bring Alien Gfunk with him wherever he goes. ‘Slurmzilla Tha Illa’, while staying laid back and upbeat through its entirety, takes us on a smooth journey with an old school hip hop feel coming in at midpoint. Saxophonist and Trumpet player, ST4FOX, accomplishes a teenage dream by releasing this very special album as his first vinyl.

“The Nexus is the connecting point of all things. Our recent timeline of war, pandemic/disease, and turmoil has had us all contemplating life and death. This album helped me channel all of those emotions into one great work, featuring spoken word poetry to

bring meaning to it all and find a light amongst all the darkness.”

ST4RFOX @ Bass Waffles Album Premiere Photo by Dark Matter Photographs

He uses this album as an opportunity to showcase some of his favorite musicians and poets he has crossed timelines with throughout his career, featuring Mt. Analogue and Evan Hatfield. The music of this album really sets the tone with the inclusion of real instrumental sounds like Sitar, Moog Matriarch, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet, and more. Once the proper mood has been set, he incorporates impactful and meaningful words to breathe it to life and there is nothing like these sound combinations to get your mind and body moving.

One of my favorite things about ST4RFOX as an artist is his futuristic vision. He really has the ability to bring us sounds from what seems to be a distant place of space and time and merge it into the now as a dynamic work of heart felt art. He is a true visionary and brilliant at his craft. ‘The Nexus’ is an album that I have full faith will be looked back on fondly as a complex classic sonic experience with a sound that will continue to spiral out and create ripples for years to come. A true masterpiece!
